How long is the service?
The morning service begins at 10:30 and runs for approximately an hour and a half. We begin by praising God together through song and testimony. We take time for prayer, both general and specific, at which time we seek God's intervention in our lives and in our world. Finally, we read the Scripture together and our speaker for the morning will bring forward some insights about the nature and character of God, God's purpose for the world, and how we can live out God's plan for our lives.
What's the worship style?
Our services are informal and most people dress casually. The music is played by a band and is both traditional and current. Since much of our ministry is done in teams, we rotate who leads the services. Each week there could be a different band leader and teacher providing a different perspective and style. We seek to meet God and each other as we gather together.
What about the kids?
At RVWC we believe that kids learn best from the the adults who are most important in their lives. This is why we have a time of worship that is for the entire family. We encourage you to talk to your kids about what worship is and why it is important. Please know that we love kids and Jesus loves kids, so come and relax and let your kids enjoy worshipping Jesus.
Kids will be in the service until they are dismissed to go downstairs for the teaching time with their teacher. They will receive teaching by our awesome volunteers and will be able to interact with the Bible at their age level. Currently, we have teaching for children grade 1-5 and our preschool classes will resume once we have enough preschoolers and teachers in place.
